2024 Report to the Board
Activities of the Foundation in 2024
Donations received by the Waterfall Humanitarian Foundation during 2024 were $12,385, slightly more than the amount received in 2023. True to our commitment to use donations to assist children, the foundation sent $12,400 in glucometers and strips to the Children’s Hospital in Caracas from January 2024 to January 2025. The pictures above were sent to the foundation by the hospital with a statement and a report that shows how this assistance was used.
Statement by the Hospital
“Once again we write to you and the valuable team that accompanies you at Waterfall Foundation. Your unceasing support is invaluable to us. We are sincerely grateful for your commitment to our cause and for continuously supporting and contributing to our success. Our achievements are possible thanks to your generosity and belief in our mission."
"On behalf of our organization, we extend to our most sincere thanks to all of your team and collaborators. Your contribution greatly helps our efforts to provide quality of life to our young patients at the JM de los Ríos Children's Hospital."
"Attached you will find the report for the year 2024:”
In 2023, $6,364, or 54% of the assistance provided to the hospital was in glucometers and strips. The activity in 2024 was very different. Dr. Pereira, President of the hospital’s foundation, indicated that children smaller than four years old are coming to the hospital with diabetes Type 1, and requested more glucometers. Therefore, the foundation dedicated its resources to cover the increase in demand for glucometers. The funds applied to the purchase of glucometers and strips 2024 increased to $10,200 for the year, a 60% increase, and almost doubled when considering that with the funds raised in 2024, the foundation purchased another $2,200 dollars in glucometers strips during the first two weeks of January 2025, bringing the 12-month total to $12,400. By the start of 2025, the foundation was helping over 400 children with Type 1 diabetes and had sent over 660,000 strips to the children since the inception of the program.
Our gratitude to those who made it possible
We thank our donors who have generously provided the funds for the glucometers and strips. We also recognize the efforts of the Hospital foundation in distributing the supplies to the children in need. Their sacrifice is constant, and their dedication is praiseworthy. We also recognize the efforts of our representative in Caracas, Atty. Yvonne Sarmiento, and our manager for logistics, who make it possible for the supplies to safely enter Venezuela.
Our request to all associates of the foundation
We need to continue our efforts without relenting. We encourage our friends and associates to donate so that the children may receive the benefit.
